Components of Program

The following lists the comprehensive services available to the women supported by Mary's Shelter.

  • Temporary housing

  • Individual and group counseling

  • Assist the young women with coordinating:

    • Prenatal care

    • Formal education

    • Future housing

    • Budget counseling

  • On-site classes to help develop:

    • Parenting skills

    • Interpersonal relationship skills

    • Housekeeping skills

Outcomes

The following lists the goals of all women supported by Mary’s Shelter.

  • A healthy pregnancy

  • Successful enrollment in and/or completion of high school, current grade level, or GED program

  • Active participation and completion of in-house courses on prenatal care, parenting and life skills training

  • Referrals to appropriate transitional or permanent housing agencies
