Berks County Diaper Bank

Mary's Shelter joined forces with five local agencies to pilot the Diaper Bank Program & Services in 2016, in response to the growing concern about struggling families “reusing” diapers by letting them dry overnight. The Program started with just 15 families enrolled.

In 2017,
Mary's Shelter was asked to continue this project and become the site for the Berks County Diaper Bank. We currently serve 155 families and diaper 485 children each month.

Program Details:
• Held the 3rd Tuesday of the month
• Time - 9am-2pm
• For children under the age of 3 years old
• Older children (if still in diapers)
• Register Form should be completed before the first visit to ensure supply
• A one-time Fee of $5 per child needing diapers – covers 12 months of diapers
